Taking “Carer” out of my profile
It took me years to admit publicly that I was a carer because I worried it might cost me work. Taking that word out of my profile has proved just as difficult.

...it can be so beautiful in the water, calm, quiet and even the numbness is beguiling, which is probably what makes it so dangerous.
